New Speed Limit on West Side Highway

Last week, Newsday reported “The speed limit on a section of the West Side Highway is dropping from 35 to 30 miles per hour”. Various sections of the roadway below 60th street have now been changed. The aim is to reduce accidents and fatalities.

The new speed limits will be enforced by camera and police officer. Remember, if the summons is issued by a police officer, a conviction will add points on your license. A summons issue by a camera will not add any points. Observe the posted signs.
