Congestion Pricing
Governor Cuomo is considering a “congestion pricing” for all cars in New York City. This plan was proposed to cut back on traffic congestion and reduced pollution in the city. This plan was first introduced a decade ago by former Mayor Bloomberg, but was blocked by Albany.
If this “congestion pricing” passes for NYC, it will be the first U.S city to implement this fee. Congestion pricing does exist worldwide, including cities like London and Singapore. The congestion plan is still in the beginning phases. Do you think congestion pricing will help NYC with its daily traffic?
