Suffolk County Police Overtime Spending Rises, Nassau County Spending Remains High

We recently wrote about Nassau County traffic tickets being on the rise, and Newsday is now reporting that police overtime spending in Nassau County remains high at $67.3 million as of 2014. This could be an indication of why more traffic tickets are being issued in Nassau County. Police overtime spending in Suffolk County has gone up to $38 million, an increase of nearly $8 million dollars since 2014. As we cautioned earlier, please obey all traffic laws as we can expect to see an increase in traffic tickets on Long Island. If you receive a Long Island traffic ticket, please contact our office at 212-227-9008 so we may determine the best way to serve you.
